Features & Benefits
•Rapid absorption on water - Cellusorb’s rapid wicking action makes the product ideally suited for use in sensitive eco-systems. It is environmentally inert posing no dangers to flora, fauna or aquatic life.
•Super absorbent - only small amounts of Cellusorb are required so it's highly cost-effective. The high buoyancy facilitates containment and retrieval. It is easy, safe to use and lightweight.
•Produced from recycled raw materials - Cellusorb is 100% cellulose, biodegradable and non-abrasive.
•Cellusorb is incinerable generating 15,500 BTUs/kg with less than 5% ash.
The protocol for the application of Cellusorb recommends that sufficient amounts of the product be applied to the surface of the spill to completely cover the spill. The spill will be quickly wicked up off the water and the spent Cellusorb can be retrieved by skimming or the use of nets. Cellusorb, that has been used to absorb C10-C36 petroleum hydrocarbons, has been granted EPA approval for disposal to solid waste landfill (regular garbage) in most States. However, always consult your local waste authority to ensure the proper disposal of used Cellusorb materials.
