It is designed for regular commercial and residential operators working in wide range of heights. Engineered with 100% carbon fibre. High Modulus Carbon Fibre (HMC) throughout. Outperforms standard weave carbon fibre poles and at 1/3rd less the price. HMC is 35%-40% stronger and more rigid than standard carbon fibre. These poles are manufactured with the very best hand-made carbon fibre tubular sections. Lateral contour clamps made of DuPont nylon with 40% larger clamping area, one finger open/close. Pole diameters are made remarkably narrow. The pole sits comfortably in the hand so your arms, shoulders and neck remain relaxed for maximum continuous work output, minimising repetitive strain injuries. How is it some poles are almost twice the weight for the same length?
Composite manufacturing materials and methods are developing fast. Alpha range of poles are made from interwoven carbon fibre pre-impregnated with resin, wound 7-10 times round a mandrel. Resin is set which bonds the carbon filaments together. The carbon fibre has the precise amount of resin applied for maximum strength and minimal weight. This method is perfectly suited for the multi-directional dynamic loads applied as a WFP.
Earlier tube manufacturing methods were by extrusion with resins and fibre reenforcement .This method is generally best suited for a rigid structure in static applications where weight is not a critical factor and loads are defined in tension and compression only. High quality machined super fine carbon fibre finish allows close tolerances and very smooth operation.
