ALGICIDE is a high-performance broad spectrum polymeric biguanide based microbiocide effective at very low concentration and controlling the growth of algae, bacteria and fungi.  ALGICIDE is recommended for use in industrial cooling systems, cooling towers, air scrubbers and paper-mill waters. ALGICIDE is highly effective against a wide range of organisms including Listeria monocytogenes. Combined with its low foaming, extremely low taint and toxicity, these properties make ALGICIDE highly suited for use in the food processing industry. ALGICIDE is a clear mobile liquid with SG of 1.0 and of pH 6, which is added directly to the system.  ALGICIDE may be added to systems on a regular one-shot basis, but for optimum results it is recommended that additions be made on a preset automatic continuous dosing basis. As an approximate guide, ALGICIDE should be used at 35ml per 1000 Litres of water. ALGICIDE concentration levels will vary dependant on the extent of microbial contamination and characteristics of the system water. Levels are controlled by microbiological testing. ALGICIDE is not classified as a dangerous good.
